Heather is an organizing member of Toll Gate Creek Chapter in Aurora
Colorado. She has served the Colorado State Society as the Program Chairman, Vice Chairman of Junior Sales, Page Chairman and Page
Vice Chairman. Heather has paged for the Wyoming State Conference and fourteen Colorado State Conferences. She has held
the chapter offices of Historian, Librarian, Chaplain and Vice Regent. In addition to these offices she has also held many chairmanships
which include Constitution Week, Friends of the Library, Junior Membership, Program, The Flag of the United States and Junior American
Citizens.
Heather is also currently serving as the Senior State Historian for the State of Colorado N.S.C.A.R. Heather
was named the 1998 Colorado Outstanding Junior.
Outside of DAR, she has received a citation from Colorado’s Governor
and awards from the United States Congress.
Heather attended Colorado State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science
in Systems Software Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. She met Michael Miller, a fellow engineer, at CSU and they married
in 1996. Heather is an engineer at Cadre Technologies, Inc. where she specializes in distribution software.
Her hobbies are
considered unusual. She likes to modify her vehicles herself and she has a passion for her haunted house display. Although she is
busy with DAR, hobbies and working full time she also makes time for her twin four year old boys.
