Membership

Any woman is eligible for membership who is no less than eighteen years of age and can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death.

Admission to membership in the NSDAR is either by invitation through a Chapter in your State Organization (or Unit Overseas). No Chapter may discriminate against an applicant on the basis of race or creed.

Scholarships

The NSDAR awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of an undergraduate degree in one of the following areas: history, political science, economics, government or nursing.

Ways to Give

Through the thoughtful and generous contributions of members and friends, contributions support specific projects and programs or they may be given to the general fund for the overall financial health of the organization.  Each gift is unique to the organization and the donor. Gifts to NSDAR benefit both the donor and the society.  Click here for more information.
