The DAR works primarily through a committee system, providing valuable community service to individuals and organizations in our local communities. Committees are the way the Society promotes involvement in its Mission Areas of Education, Historic Preservation, and Patriotism. Working on committees in local chapters offers opportunities for leadership, social networking, and skill development.

Committees are comprised of national chairs appointed by the National Society’s President General, state chairs appointed by the State Regent, and chapter chairs appointed by chapter regents who all implement the current priorities and projects in the committees.

Contact your nearby chapter  for more information about what Colorado DAR is doing in your community!
