Linn Barrett, a member of Namaqua Chapter in Loveland, is honored as the
2005 Colorado State Outstanding Junior.
Linn works full time as an Administrative Professional at Colorado State
University. She is nearing completion of her Liberal Arts degree in social
sciences. Linn grew up near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Linn’s great-grandmother, a genealogist, linked their ancestry to a patriot of
the American Revolution; she, her mother, grandmother and aunt were all members
of Pennsylvania State Society NSDAR. After coming to Colorado to visit family in
1991, she decided to stay. She joined NSDAR in 1995 and is an active Namaqua
Chapter member, currently serving as Vice Regent and will become Regent in May.
Linn also is the State Chairman of the Women’s Issues Committee, the chairman
of numerous chapter committees, and has served as a state conference page for 9
years. Linn lives in
Greeley with her husband, Master Sergeant John Barrett USAF, her 12-year-old
daughter Jaymie Pearl, and the family pets, Bomber, Sheila and Lucie.
